ISSER has signed an MoU with the Agricultural Policy Support Project (APSP) of USAID to train some officials of MoFA on how to write policy briefs.
After undergoing a series of training at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana, three officials of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) yesterday (19th June 2018) made mock presentations at the office of APSP. The presenters, Mr. Faisal Munkaila (Senior Agricultural Economist), Mr. Charles Ayew (Agricultural Economist) and Mr. Shaibu Mustapha (Agricultural Economist), were then quizzed by officials of both University of Ghana and MoFA.
Officials who attended the presentations were Prof. Felix Asante (Director, ISSER) and Dr Martha Awo (Research Fellow, ISSER). The others, all from APSP, were Mr. Kwaku Baah (Senior Policy Advisor), Mr. Alabiria Ibrahim (Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist), Mr. Philip Essel (Brands and Sub-Contract Manager) and Mr. Emmanuel Adotey-Addo (Assistant Agricultural Economist).
The three are scheduled for another presentation on 20th and 27th June, 2018.
