ISSER has met with the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW). The meeting, which took place at ISSER on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, was to discuss ways by which both Institutes could collaborate on areas of education research.
This meeting was initiated by IERIS, in the bid to understand how ISSER has grown to be a leading research think tank in Ghana, and strategies which may be replicated to spur the growth of IERIS.
The ISSER Team, which was led by the Director, Prof. Felix Asante, shared challenges the Institute has faced over the years in securing and sustaining research funding.
In their response, the IERIS team, thanked ISSER for sharing their experiences and indicated they were keen on learning from ISSER, to grow their young Institute.
The IERIS team was led by the Deputy Registrar, Mr. William Agyei-Bieni and included the heads of Centre for Education Policy Studies (CEPS); Centre for School and Community Sciences (SACOST) and; National Centre for Research into Basic Education (NCRIBE), all under IERIS.
