Twenty- two graduate students, made up of fifteen MA and seven PhD, were on Monday 22nd August, 2016 formally admitted to begin their courses.
Welcoming them during an orientation ceremony at the Twum-Barima conference room at the institute, Prof. Felix Asante, Director of ISSER warned against absenteeism.
He urged them to work hard and participate in every activity regarding the course. Prof. Asante also encouraged the students to take advantage of the resources available particularly the library and computer room.
In her contribution, Dr. Nana Akua Anyidoho, Head of Social Division, asked the students to do more reading so they can excel.
She urged them to start thinking about their theses topics immediately instead of waiting until the last hour.
Dr. Elizabeth Asante, of the Social Division advised students who have not stopped work to concentrate on the course to do so.
Senior members present were Dr. Simon Bawakyillenuo, Coordinator, MA/MPhil Programme, Dr. Charles Ackah, Head, Economics Division and Coordinator for PhD Programme, Dr. Martha Awo and Dr. Aba Crenstil both of Social Division.
